Alexyz Arcilla – A One-Man-Show Absolute Performer

(On-the-Day Coordinator/Emcee/Wedding Singer Review)

As I have previously mentioned, we were gunning for the smallest cost possible for our wedding. So, we didn’t hire a whole group of On-the-Day (OTD) coordinators to run the wedding and the reception program. We hired a one-man-show OTD Coordinator/Emcess/Wedding Singer/Choir/Lector all rolled into one. His name is Alexyz Arcilla.

We found him at a friend’s wedding late last year and we were wowed by his exemplary performance. We first noticed him at the church as lector/choir. Really great vocal chords. He sounded like Josh Groban, no kidding! And we were amused at how he was directing the bridesmaids and secondary sponsors on what to do while he was singing. Talk about multi-tasking, no?  Then, we were surprised to see him at the reception, opening the program. We thought, “Oh, he’s the emcee as well.”  And when he sang, boy it was like he was another person. He didn’t use his “Josh Groban” voice. As the wedding singer, he was a balladeer like the sort of Martin Nievera or Ariel Rivera.

My partner, who is rarely impressed by anything, decided right there and then that Alexyz would be our guy. And so, we hired his services and we didn’t regret that we did. Alexyz was a real professional, showed up on time in our meetings. He was very collaborative and had my best interests at heart.  He provided the songs and music editing for the program, according to my specifications of course. Not a single mistake. He delivered as we have discussed.

Also a proof of his professionalism was that he still performed his best despite the multiple rib fracture he suffered from a small accident a week or so before the wedding. He informed me as soon as he got out of the hospital and assured me that he would still host the program despite his injuries. As added precaution, he brought a co-emcee to assist him in the program at no additional cost. Was very happy with his service. My guests were greatly entertained. One of my ninongs even signed a two thumbs up to me while pointing to my emcee. And oh, did I mention he is a great singer? ;)

In case you are wondering who the heck this guy is, check out his Facebook page.
